Tips for Working with Team Members on Flows.Your own cursor will show up to you as it normally does, but to other team members, it will show up as an assorted color.
In Botmock, it's easy to get working with your team in real-time, but we just wanted to highlight a few things that users should look out for when editing a flow with multiple team members at once to make sure everyone is on the same page with working together, ensuring that projects move forward smoothly.
One of the first things you'll notice when you enter a project is another user's cursor. With that, you will be able to see the movement of your team members and see potentially which part of the project they may be working on at any point in the process.
Your own cursor will show up to you as it normally does, but to other team members, it will show up as an assorted color.
When it comes to editing content blocks, the biggest feature is the "locking" of a content block while someone else on your team is editing it. By locking the content block, there are no chances of overwriting anyone else's data, and it's also simply a good way to be able to keep things on track and see who is working on what.
When a content block is being edited, no one else on a team can jump into a content block, or move it around. Though, other members can modify different connectors to a block that is being edited.
When editing connectors in real-time with other team members, the connector itself will not lock like a content block, but an indicator will appear that another team members is currently editing it to make sure there isn't any confusion.
It should be noted as well that when a connector is being edited, it cannot be deleted by anyone else on a team.
Other than the main "canvas" where you can edit your visual flow, Real-Time editing currently does not apply to the process of working with intents, variables, entities, settings, usability tests, journeys, or workflows.
You will always be able to see which team members are in your project at the top right corner of your editor:
And, you will also be able to see in real-time who is joining or leaving your projects as well:
And with that, happy collaborating! As always, if you have questions or feedback, please email us at help@botmock.com and we will get back to you.
